Our first full day in London got a bit of a late start, we're all still getting used to the time change. But coffee certainly helps. Reminder when traveling - keep everyone in the group fed, it helps things go smoother :)
The morning was spent exploring the Notting Hill area of London. The entire area is fun little shops and an outdoor market. Everything from Victorian Era style clothes to Harry Potter lines these colorful streets. The side streets are lined with people's homes that are all painted in bright hues. It reminded me a lot of the Painted Ladies in San Francisco.
There are so many food stalls in the area, and you want to try a bit of it all. I started the morning with a sausage roll from a street vendor (had to try one!), mid-morning we shared a cupcake and brownie from The Hummingbird Bakery (amazing), and lunched at a Thai restaurant. It was funny, we had very little idea of what we were ordering at the Thai place, but it was all wonderful (and my sinuses are clear).
Visited the Victoria and Albert museum early afternoon for a peek into British history, and finished up the afternoon wandering through Harrod's.
The day ended with a trip to the closest pub for a pint (or two) and dinner.
More photos coming soon - my card reader decided this was a good time to stop working.
